About Okemall
Okemall is an independent collection of free online tools unit converters, calculators and image utilities built for people who are tired of watermarks, forced sign-ups and "free" tools that stop at the download button.

Build small, sharp, honest tools that do one job well free, private and out of your way.
It Started With a Watermark
Like most useful things, Okemall began with irritation. One ordinary afternoon, one of us needed three small things: a photo resized for an upload form, another image flipped for a product listing and a payment fee checked before sending an invoice. Five minutes of work, in theory. In practice it took the better part of an hour a tool that stamped its logo across the finished image, another that demanded an account before revealing the download button and a third that hid a "$9.99/month to continue" wall behind two minutes of progress bars.
None of these are hard problems. Converting a unit, flipping an image, extracting text a modern browser can do any of them in a blink. The difficulty isn't technical. It's that the internet's free-tool ecosystem has quietly optimized for getting in the way: more steps, more walls, more reasons to hand over an email address.
So in 2025 we started building the version we wanted to exist. The first tools were the ones we needed ourselves a Power Converter for quick engineering checks, an image-to-text extractor for screenshots we were tired of retyping. Each one followed the same brief: do the one job, quickly and get out of the way.
We're still early and we'd rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. New tools ship regularly, existing ones get refined based on what people actually struggle with and if a tool you need doesn't exist yet tell us. There's a decent chance it's already on the whiteboard.
Four Rules Every Okemall Tool Follows
Free means free
Not "free trial", not "free with watermark", not "3 files per day". If we ship a tool, every useful feature works for everyone no account, no caps, no upsell lurking behind the result.
Privacy by architecture
Our tools are engineered to process images and values locally in your browser not on our servers. That's how they're built, not just what a policy claims. We can't lose what we never receive.
Honesty over hype
Our guides say what tools can't do as clearly as what they can OCR struggles with cursive, enlarging images degrades them, fee rates vary by country. You'll find those caveats in the content, not buried in a footer.
Speed is a feature
A two-second task shouldn't come with a two-minute ceremony. No forced tours, no interstitials before your result, no download buttons hidden three clicks deep.
How We Keep Our Content Accurate
A tool is only half the product the guides around it need to be trustworthy too. Numbers you act on (fee rates, image dimensions, conversion factors) deserve the same care as the code behind the calculators. So every guide on Okemall follows four standards:
📚 Primary sources first
Facts come from official documentation PayPal's published fee schedule, SI unit definitions, platform specification pages and we link to the source whenever a number matters.
📅 Changeable facts are dated
Fee schedules and platform specs change. Wherever something could shift, we say "at the time of writing" and tell you where to verify the current figure.
⚠️ Limitations stated plainly
We document what our tools can't do upscaling limits, handwriting accuracy, country-specific rate differences. A guide with only good news is an ad, not a guide.
✉️ Corrections invited
Found an error? Email us and it gets fixed being correct matters more to us than being first. Every correction email genuinely shapes the next revision.
This page, like every guide on the site, is written and maintained by the same people who build the tools no outsourced content farms, no scraped articles, nothing we wouldn't put our own name on.
How Okemall Stays Free
Fair question "free" always costs someone something and you deserve to know who's paying. Running a website isn't free: the domain, the hosting, the development hours, the coffee powering a late-night bug fix. They all add up.
Here is our entire business model, in plain language: we display a small number of unobtrusive advertisements and that's the whole plan. We don't sell your data mostly because we never receive any of it, since our tools run on your device rather than our servers. There's no affiliate bait hidden inside our guides, no "plus" version designed to make the free one feel inadequate and no account system quietly building a marketing list.
The ads keep the lights on; everything else about how we operate stays exactly as described on this page. If we ever change that if Okemall ever needs accounts, or watermarks, or a premium tier it will be explained here first, in the same plain language as this paragraph.
Who's Behind Okemall
Okemall is built and maintained by a small, hands-on team of developers, designers and writers who use these tools themselves. Every guide on this site was written after actually hitting the problem it solves the flip tool exists because of a product photo that faced the wrong way; the fee calculator exists because an invoice came up $34 short.
We read everything that reaches our inbox: bug reports, feature requests, "your FAQ missed my question" and the occasional "this saved my deadline". All of it gets read and a surprising amount of it decides what we build next.

Questions People Ask About Okemall
Are Okemall's tools really free? What's the catch? ▾
Really free, no catch. A small number of ads covers our costs, which lets every tool stay fully functional for everyone no accounts, no watermarks, no daily limits. The full explanation is in the "How Okemall Stays Free" section above.
Do you collect or store my data? ▾
Our tools are built so this mostly never comes up: images and values are processed locally in your browser and never reach our servers. We can't store what we never receive. Standard anonymous analytics may count page visits but never what you converted, resized, or extracted. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Who writes your guides and checks the facts? ▾
The same team that builds the tools. Our guides draw on official sources PayPal's fee schedule, SI unit definitions, platform documentation with primary links where the numbers matter and honest limitations stated in the text. The full standard is described in our Editorial Standards section above.
Can I request a new tool? ▾
Please do requests genuinely drive our roadmap. Email [email protected] with what you were trying to do and where existing tools failed you. Several of our current tools started as exactly that kind of email.
What's next for Okemall? ▾
More tools in the same spirit additional converters, image utilities and calculators plus steady refinement of what's already here based on feedback. We ship rather than announce, so the best way to follow along is to check back or drop us an email about what's on the workbench.
